History of 99x

Doesn't Barnes have a non-compete that he would have to ride out? How about Sean, Leslie, and Jimmy?

I would imagine not riding out the noncompete would simply force him to forfeit him being paid for being off the air.

Perhaps they agreed to hire Barnes back if he dropped the lawsuit. Just kidding there is no way Barnes is coming back. That ship has sailed. I think the non-compete would be an issue also. It has already been leaked who their man on the street stunt guy will be. Sean Demery doesn't strike me as the zany stunt kind of guy. To cool or mature for that.

The speculation is endless though. They should keep it up for another week or so before rolling them out.

Also how long until the first person proclaims the morning show is lame, Leslie doesn't fit in and they are Regular Guys/Howard Stern and (for Deadman sake)O & A rip-offs?

I've found the 'History of 99X' thing a bit depressing. It reminds me just how relevant 99X used to be and what a shell of itself the station has now become.

I had the same thought this morning. They did some great interviews over the years. A 14 year anniversary is kind of odd. I'm wondering if the "History of 99x" means that 99x we knew is history.

I just hope they can move forward with what they had there for a decade or so...

Leslie doesn't fit in! Then again, maybe she will. She actually did (in my opinion) for years with Barnes and Jimmy. Somehow those three had a product that was far greater than the sum of its parts. She did NOT fit in with Don Miller or even Axel.

But I might be wrong. Maybe the two new guys will provide the right mix...

I really don't think the new 99x is looking to have O&A/Stern type vibe. That was closer to Toucher's show and that didn't work out.
