Wanna bet? They already have a Chrsitmas stream you can listen to on their website. I bet they launch Christmas on the B the day before Thanksgiving.

If the world comes to an end, sure. That's about the only way they don't.
 
While I wish they would wait for Thanksgiving before switching to all-Christmas I would be shocked if they didn't start some time this week. If no other Philly station switches first I see B going Friday. It still cracks me up that stations start the 24-7 Christmas music in early to mid November, but drop it like a bad habit on December 26th!
 
The minute the main Christmas shopping season is over (and the holiday stuff starts getting marked down), naturally the stations move on.
 
Now that Sirius|XM went live with christmas music channels as of noon today, you think that will put any pressure on the local Philly stations to make the switch?

Q102 is playing Christmas music. Yes, you heard correctly. Q102 is the first Philly station to play Christmas music.
 
You may not have noticed Dan but WHAT was playing some Christmas music at midnight Sunday. Wouldn't that make them first?

well mix 106.1 has made its debut @ 5pm


i dont think b101.1 is gonna wanna chance it unless WJBR goes x-mas or BEN-FM i just dont see b101.1 doing it this year
 
Check the fog on the glasses. :) There's nothing for B 101 to "chance." As usual, they tease it out a bit, then make the switch, see a big spike, then settle back to normal.

What would they be chancing? B101 is Philly's Christmas station. They will flip when they want to and win per normal. As for Mix 106.1......now isn't the time to make a change to get noticed. Hit em after the holidays.
 
Of note, WLEV 100.7FM in the Lehigh Valley has gone all-Christmas at least when I last checked sometime yesterday (Monday, Nov. 15th).

Amazingly enough, I can get their HD signal all the way down here in Norristown, PA. OTOH, it's a shame they don't do multicast with it...

I'm not sure when WLEV changed but I was in Reading Saturday (11/13) and they were all Christmas then. My kids loved it.
