As much as I liked that show, I'm not sure it would be a good fit today. It worked back then because the format was more than Rock. In the early 90's, they still featured New Order, Depeche Mode, and even Utah Saints. But now it is all Guitars. It was also cool when Electronica had a rise in the late 90s but even that stuff fizzled. Grunge poisoned the word Alternative and now its just that....contaminated.
Before the Edge changed to X, they had a show called Mix N Mash but the DJ was all over the place and was quite rough with his blending

Nearly every song I heard on KUKQ, whether it was 'People Who Died' or 'Mexican Radio' or The Jetzons (the band, not the cartoon) has eventually made it over to KWSS-LP.
Sounds awesome. Where is it from? Do they play the Nails or Front 242?
Sure they do. They even play Cocteau Twins. You can check out their daily playlist here:

They lost me with Chucks unimpressive impression of Wolf Blitzer and even lesser than desirable impressions of the Republican hopefuls ("I think I'll write a bit about the republican debates...and I'll voice them all...yeah. I can break out my Wolf"). It was sad.Dr. Akbar said:indieradioguy said:Every time I heard KTAR's afternoon hosts playing "Fact or Fiction," or the even train-wreck'ier "Family Feud" amongst themselves - um, guys, are you ever gonna let listeners play, too?
You forgot to mention the equally insipid "Alphabet" or "Super Freak" features of the Chuck 'n Chick show on KT'R. Two hosts guffawing at each others inane comments. Want to participate? Well, go to their Facebook page as taking live and local calls aint part of the formatGuess TMISU aren't aware that their web page proclaims "KT'R - Where the Valley Talks". Hmmmmmm.
