Holy Snowballs! Mac and Gaydos

One thing I do find odd is the lack of phone calls they take on the show. I do realize it is hard to fit in callers when you have two guys like that on the air but for a full show to not have many calls or any at all. Kinda strange but just me.

Most highly rated talk shows have limited caller participation: The Nearly Bald One, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, etc. What these talkers have to say is far more interesting and entertaining than most listener comments. On the other size of the fez, Toaster Talkers take a bunch of calls....but they're usually from Aunt Edna telling you it's raining in Sun City

I am gonna agree on that, there was a time when i use love listening to ktar back in the am dial days when they had talented radio personalty's all day, now they have dumb an dumber on the pm drive time. What ever happened to bill Heywood (not ktar but koy ) ,westmorlin, pat mccman others that ecape my memeorie bank.

..better have the Nurse schedule me some time off 'cause lately I find myself agreeing with Gaydos and thinking Mac Watson is the dumber of the two. YIKES!!

Don't flame me, but I used to like Gaydos when he had a minor role with Ted Simons. He could play the clown that he is, for a bit, then it was back to Ted.

Once you realize that Phil Hendrie isn't real, he becomes less interesting. I liked him at the beginning, when I was wise to him, but many of the callers were victims.

The local talent I miss, is John Dayle. He was sincere, knowledgeable, and knew how to engage callers in down to earth conversation. Too bad his show was dominated by the regular callers. John, R.I.P.

It's great to have a show that can be entertaining with news and talk like Mac & Gaydos. Sure beats the typical angry and/or paranoid drivel found on both sides of the fence... Whenever I happen to tune in, I enjoy listening to them.

(and no, I didn't get hired by Bonneville)

I've been so out of talk radio these past few days! I really need to get off of 89.5 and 95.5... but I'm sort of glad I broke my (typical) radio listening habits during the week.
