I was timed out and couldn't add:
The Saturday Night Phenom was the closest thing to the Beatle Dominance in April 1964 when The Beatles occupied the top 5 single spots on the Hot 100 and the top 2 Lp spots in the same week.... the Bee Gees at the peak of Sat Nite Fever had svereal hits in the Top 100 by themselves and by Andy Gibb, Evonne Elliman , Tavares and Samantha Sang. They also had another hit LP on the top 200 lp chart besides Sat Nite Fever titled "Spirits Having Flown" which had 3 #1's. And Barry Gibb wrote the title song "Grease" for Frankie Valli.
Lets not forget the power behind Saturday Night Fever, Grease, and Urban Cowboy...John Travolta..... Disco and Country Music exploded thanks to Fever and Urban Cowboy and Oldies radio was given a boost by Grease....When It comes to modern day music movies Travolta is the Man.
