Hot 96.9fm Lineup?

I like the morning show and see potential. The audio quality of the station is much better today. Overall, I like the changes made on this station within the last few weeks (especially this week); however, the playlist still remains extremely limited during the day and night. Unless this is expanded soon, this station will not be able to compete with the other stations. At this time, everyone is excited b/c they are playing a few songs different than WJMN and the return of former dj's but it will become old very quick. The Boston market is saturated with Current HITS stations, whether leaning POP or a little bit of Urban. No station in Boston is standing out. It's going to be interesting to see how the radio dial will look like a year from now (or even less).

Yes, they definitely tweaked the processing, and you're right, it sounds great.

Mixing is first rate. Nice element to have but not so sure it's an important one to close the gap between Kiss and everyone else.

Baltazar did a great job at Jamn but he was always #2. Dont believe anything changes this time around.

I would think gm would take #2 in the mornings all day. Hot doesn't have to be #1. If it weakens Kiss enough in the 25-54 demo too clear the way for say wmjx to become #1 so be it. The same thing CC does with wktu and wwpr in NY.

Matty is a table setter. When you have a leadoff talent that is able to pull the top #'s so consistently, rest of the line-up is just batting clean-up all day. Doesnt much matter what Mixes, Magics, Amps and Hots of the world do and where they fall between #2 and #10.

I think Magic will be the 25-54 winner for quite awhile. Kiss will do well with 18-49 but not as well as they used too. Too much competition.

Well if TKK were still talk they'd have to find a replacement for Mike Smerconish, who has decided he's tired of polarized talk radio and gone to Sirius/XM...
