Hot 97 (87.7) off the air

hot87's signal is really a joke now and audio levels are low too. oh well , theres a reason professionals are typically employed in configuring stations and they typicaly acquire legal tower space on the top of a tall building..

it led me to discovering another pirate on 87.9 i haven't heard before. ayiti chat and mx - probably from brockton

Hot 97 (87.7) reception report

I was driving around the top of Neutaconkanut Hill between Johnston, RI and Providence and getting a fair signal from Hot 97 on 87.7 FM. The elevation of the hill is 200 feet. Before today, I was getting nothing from 87.7 in the last few weeks in the usual spots where it comes in briefly, like on the hill, and on Route 295 in Johnston, which is also at a higher elevation.

theyre back. first in mono with splattery sound, the mono with corrected sound and now stereo with very decent processing. The strength is way down though. The signal quality in Cambridge now is what it was like in Billerica before.

Well, it looks like (since sometime between Monday morning and mid-afternoon) they’re back to full——( unauthorized )——power! ::)

It was a little fuzzy but did come in on Rt 128 around Danvers/Peabody area. Just past 5 pm they were running an ad explaining the benefits of advertising on Hot 97.

Gee, I sure hope this "undocumented broadcaster" is reporting their income to the IRS.
