Houston area radio notes (update thread)

I just want to say about a week ago La Calle 91.5 has been coming in a lot stronger. I wonder just how strong it would be if 91.7 didn’t have HD.

The old thread was closed due to inactivity, but noting that the application to move the transmitter of K218EJ 91.5 to near Loop 610 and Hwy 288 as well as change frequency to 89.7 was dismissed by the FCC today. This would have been a translator for KHCB (AM) and there was chatter that the ultimate site destination was one of the downtown Houston buildings.
KHCB has resubmitted its application to move K218EJ to 89.7. Same transmitter location, with directional pattern very slightly tweaked, a little lower HAAT. One point of confusion: The application form proposes the existing 91.5 allocation, but the technical exhibits are all for 89.7. Did they get their numbers mixed up?
