Houston Nutt Fired

Well, Arkansas got rid of a solid coach doing a solid job and made a deal with a hard core mercenary. I put the over/under on how long he stays at 3 years. When Arkansas plays Alabama, I think it should be called the "Snake Bowl".

Thank goodness Nutt is gone. I don't see how anyone could or still can support that guy. Nutt can go ride Ed O's recruits for a few seasons and take credit for the wins and blame the evil media or something for the losses due to poor game managment. Well to sum it all up, If you love Nutt so much move to Oxford and lastly "WOO PIG go Hogs go, put it on Ole Miss! I don't know about you fellow Hog fans on here but I can't wait for that game.

I don't think anyone here confuses Houston Nutt with Frank Broyles, but one of the rules of big time football is (or ought to be) make sure you've got somebody better learned up before you ditch the guy you've got. Bobby Petrino might stay at Arkansas forever and win more games than Bobby Bowden, but his track record indicates that he's already angling for his next big job. The only reason that he didn't take the Auburn job was because the media exposed the back door finagling and he bailed on Atlanta when things got tough there and left a lot of bitter and angry players who felt they had been had.

I'm not expressing any moral outrage here, because Arkansas is just playing the game as it is set up for now, but if Petrino lives up to form and bails early, do you really think the Hawgs are going to be better off in the long term?
 
Nutt had to go.....way too much childish off-season drama is what did him in...
