I agree...KTEX 106 is a very good station...it serves the Brazos Valley very well by having "real" people with a sense of community as on air personalities, and a playlist that has some depth. Another great country station is 98.3 KORA...same scenario as KTEX...great jocks, great variety of music...and both are very easy to listen to..country radio like it SHOULD be.greenbastard said:I miss KIKK. ;D
Both stations sound pale to me. Where's the Texas and Red Dirt Country? Adding some local stuff to the daily rotation wouldn't hurt. They were probably the last pair of stations in the state to play Randy Rogers Band when they took off. I always try to listen to stations like K-TEX 106 when I am in the outskirts of the city. Now that station has the right mix of country music.
