Almost every segue on top 40 in the '60s and '70s was a "train wreck".
Mid '70s -- "Convoy" (the CB novelty song) by C.W. McCall to "Can't Get Enough" by Bad Company, for example.
At least in that way, Jack emulates the old Top 40 stations of 30 and 40 years ago.
"The Mighty 1190" does even more of that.
Broadly speaking, every station has had a niche since block programming ended after the birth of television.
