MAN, FIND OUT HOW IT TURNED OUT?

I would like to know also would be interesting to see how it turned out.

awww...is someone hating?! come on now, it was a great show. considering all the hating that went around with the other stations telling people the show was cancelled (very clever and original lol), san antonio came out huge sunday, come on ******bag, you could've asked me for tix, i would've given ya some :)

I hear next year they are calling it THUG BASH.

hating b/c i said it was a thug fest? no its just not my cup of tea. i didnt say it sucked. [EDIT]

who said it was cancelled?

[EDIT-sexually explicit content]

[EDIT-sexually explicit content] nice comment to say to a female, you have manners lol just because a concert or music isn't your "cup of tea" doesn't mean you can't appreciate and give props to what a good concert was. i went to the family values show and it wasn't my "cup of tea" but i knew that korn put it down and i can say that without hesitation. your comment about it being a "thug fest" next year does bring a little attitude to the table. being someone in radio you have to know how to appreciate different genres etc, but you must be a rookie right?!

:D :D :D :D

lmao! this is too good to pass up....

so nikki...who was saying the concert was cancelled????

also just a question.....

was it a kiddie show? i heard it was a lot of young kids....

congrats on the success of the show...not often you can get 6 track acts to show up in san antonio!

listeners were saying that other stations were announcing on air that the show was cancelled. it was not a kiddie show...it was an "all ages show". we had already brought chamillionaire to an 19 and up crowd, play n skillz and natalie and yung joc to 18 and up crowds, it was time to cater to the entire city. 12,000 people (not all kids) made the concert a success. and im not trying to "fight" with ******bag, i just don't like when people make comments and hide behind screen names.

nikki u are a [EDIT] quit taking what i'm saying and twisting it all around.

i said it was a thug fest which it was. the show had nothing artistic about it but the crowd enjoyed it and nothing matters beyond that. the beat did a nice job. the staff did well. they did everything great stations do. they were prepared and it was professional. but it was a thug fest. there were as many cops at the show as there were people.

and yes i'm a rookie. maybe you can teach me everything i need to know. what exactly are u doing in radio these days?

[EDIT-namecalling]

moron? niiiiccceee lol and i'm not twisting anything around...what am i doing in radio these days you ask? well i am working for the #1 station in the market, PD's assistant...i'm on the afternoon show and overnights/weekends. i'll give u a freebie here: now what have i "done" in radio? morning show producer, co-hosted mornings, music director, mixshow...more than what some people do in a lifetime in this business. :-* so just who are you ******bag?! lmao

im not going to join the nikki bashing.....nikki has paid some her dues..
(on a side note all your stations that youve done things at have flipped and no longer exist, now ur a programming asst/community service/certified sidekick...hmmmm)

...but u have to admit - majority of those who attended the concert were thugs and kids...

second, as for the beat doing shows..hmmm..let me see

chamillionare show was not packed and it was very ghetto(thug)

play n skills, natalie at noche was a horrible show and you know that was ghetto....check out nochecaliente.net or sanightlife.com for pics
:'( :'( :'(

seems to me that klub kristal payed for the young joc show and the beat was paid to promote it through sales...

congrats on the beat bash....but lets not twist the facts....this is the first show the beat has successfully had. they did this by tapping into the lifestyle of their listeners. kids and thugs. many would frown on this but i say to hell with it and make that money!!!

you are partially right...2 of the stations that i worked @ flipped and only 1 actually flipped when i was there, ktfm flipped after i left...correction: NOT ALL. the reason i said that everything i've done is more than what people do in a lifetime in this business is because i know of people who i started out with in radio, STILL doing the same exact thing. and about the shows: everyone wants to talk about "ghetto", "thugs", etc. yung joc, ying yang twins, chamillionaire, etc...these are top artists, if that's what the LISTENERS want to hear/see, then it is up to the radio stations in the market to give it to them. i'm done.

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH DEEJAY05!!!

THE BEAT REALLY HASNT HAD A SUCCESSFUL SHOW IN THIS CITY!

I WENT TO THE BEAT BASH AND IT WAS PACKED WITH YOUNG KIDS, SCARED WHITE KIDS, AND YES..THUGS!

NIKKI_961 - DONT BE HURT THAT YOUR STATION LISTENERS ARE KIDS AND GHETTO THUGS! YOUR STILL # 1 IN SA RIGHT! 9 SHARE RIGHT!

AS FOR NIKKI'S EMPLOYMENT WOES....CANT U SEE SHE IS ON THE FOLLOW CINDY C PLAN! LMAO!

NIKKI_961....DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS...JUST DO WHAT U GET PAID TO DO AND IGNORE THE REST...

I PROPOSE A BETTER TOPIC:

WHAT WILL THE BEAT 12+ RATING FALL TO IN THE NEXT BOOK? PREDICTIONS ANYONE?
LETS SEE MY GUESS IN A 6.3

REMEMBER
WHAT GOES UP
MUST COME DOWN !!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think the Beat will come down soon. Unless real competition comes into town, I don't see the Beat going anywhere but up. Shure many stations go up and down in the ratings every cycle and the Beat will most likely will too, but I still see it as the number one station for a long time. (unless a new Hip-Hop station or Urban station comes to san antonio)

Umm, The Beat has been #1 for the last 3+ years. So to think that the Beat will fall in coming months is almost a joke. Keep in mind, the Rhythmic format is usually the top format during the summer month.

FYI, The Beat is #1 in 12+ and 18-34 demos so to think kids are the only ones listening is not completely accurate.
