Howie Carr vs. Emily Rooney

so, how do you explain that he didn't.

He's on a rival station with poor ratings. Finneran happens to be a Dem politician, but somewhat conservative on social issues. From what I've heard, he's more of a JFK democrat.

It is standard fare for Emily Rooney to praise Graham and Severin (since they are fellow WTKK broadcasters) while slamming Carr, since he's with WRKO for the time being. I woudln't expect those comments once car is on WTKK, do you?

But as a card-carrying Liberal, I figured that Braude would cut a fellow Massachusetts card-carrying (ex-) Liberal politician some slack...whether he's now a radio host or otherwise. The 'Birds-of-a-feather' psychology, don't you know.

you figured, huh.

Whatever else they may be in life, a liberal is a liberal first. They'll always find comfort in fellow elitist, angry liberals, which is why the 'shock and awe' is in Braudie's caustic broadside to Finneran. Being able to 'explain' a Liberal's moves like this is not possible, so I won't even try. But humor us with your attempt. At some random 30-second slice of some random evening I might tune to the upper reaches of the cable spectrum and seek NECN for more Braudie hysteria. NECN is a fine place for him.

Twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.

Finn is correct. If you didn't exist, we'd have to invent you.

>>I still think Virgin Boy is a dumb**s moniker...

Yeah, why can't he just go to "I'm Doug Goudie"? Afraid he'd be mixed up with the other Doug
(the traffic guy)? The story goes that Howie gave him that name after VB started to make fun
of him for being married: "Well, we've never seen you with a woman. You're just --just a virgin
boy!" Later when Goudie got his own show, the Pleasure Pit, he tried to say it stood for Victor Bravo.

On the Fox 25 site he is indeed identified as "Doug VB Goudie" but I think he may just go by VB on air.
And it's good to see that he and his look alike, former Philadelphia Phillie John Kruk (Baseball Tonight,
ESPN) have each lost some weight...

Kruk: http://www.cantstopthebleeding.com/img/kruk0504.jpg

VB: http://www.myfoxboston.com/myfox/ph...ale=EN-US&subtype=MIMG&siteId=1006&isP16=true

well maybe when they were both chubbier they looked alike

Go do a search of the old Herald from ten years ago when he started using the Herald 'Street Walkers' aka The Inside Track girls to go after Jerry Williams the person to whom Carr owes his career. Without Jerry Williams Carr would have been just another ink stained wretch.

"Street Walkers"...ouch! Actually, I met Laura Raposa ten years ago--she was very attractive, in a "hot older teacher" kinda way... ;)

Let me once again try to bow to your elitist, liberalism and your learned, all-knowing attitude.

Nope...can't do it this time, either.

Liberals are caricatures, and our elitist 'TSB' plays the role with such aplomb.

Kirk to Enterprise: The liberal stereotype is alive and well in one Mr. TSBench.

This message board is so much fun, yet you have adopted Braudie's charisma-challenged, elitist attitude (likely due to envy). Whether you are a member of the 'elitist' Liberal media cabal or just pretend to be (either is likely), you massively reinforce the stereotype of liberals and their iron-clad vest of self-importance.

Keep the 'elite' talk and passages coming; it's thoroughly enjoyable!

Jeepers, all I did was ask why you agreed with Braude when he characterized you as a brain-dead yahoo.

I guess that's one question that has been answered.

it's thoroughly enjoyable!

Who's explaining the complicated parts for you?
