Pretty much the immediate Greenville area and its close suburbs (Anderson and Spartanburg are out of reach as well as Clemson where it probably would do well with the college students).
Its sister station, variety hits Chuck FM, fares better (lately in the 1.7-2.0 range), but also is using more wattage. Personally, it's not necessarily even X98.5's reach that hurts it as much as it is clarity and penetration. Particularly on sunny mornings, it's static city (from 98.5 in Atlanta, I've heard). Chuck doesn't suffer much from that issue. And the morning drive can kill a station IMO.
I don't think another format would do much better because of those barriers, so I'm hoping their new owner, Summit Media, will keep it up and running.
