Huckabee is a welcome relief

Old habits are hard to break, but I'm getting sick of Hannity. His show is too much clutter. He has a good monologue at 3 PM, but is nothing but commercials and teasers until 3:35. I listen then, until his commercials at 3:50. Nothing but commercials and teasers until 4:06. Repeat the pattern for 2 more hours.

Not to mention the black callers he patronizes. That makes me sick, too. Anymore, the lone guest I like is Dick Morris. Then he gets guests to do noithing but argue and talk over each other is a worn out schtick. Huckabee seems to be the adult in the room.
 
Hannity's voice gets on my nerves. How did he ever get a gig with that "Charlie Brown's Parents" voice? Patronizing to black people? How about patronizing to country music fans? Seriously, do you really believe that a guy from BROOKLYN sports a cowboy hat, and puts on a pair of s**t kickers? ROFL!!!! Or, mellows out to the awful pablum that is CCM artist Michael W. Smith? Please... ::)

As for Huckabee, I listened while driving out of Nashville a couple weeks ago...Boring. Huckabee allows his guests and callers to drone on way to long. After awhile, the show failed to keep my attention. I tuned back later, same thing.

Best conservative talker is Phil Valentine.

I guess you rather hear from the liberal blacks who constantly express their hatred and Anti-Americanism, instead of the blacks who cling to conservative and patriotic values. I do agree that Hannity does sound extremely cluttered and I Huckabee is a good alternative to the noise.

The two blacks that he patronizes the worst are: BIG AJ from wherever, and the guy who owns the BBQ restaurant. NO I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR FROM LIBERAL BLACKS (OR WHITES AS FAR AS THAT MATTERS).

Huckabee may be boring, but I am looking for news and information, not confrontation. I've got my wife for that.
 
He's boring because his producer isn't doing a good job. Segments go on far too long. Guests drone on after they have nothing more to say. Call screening seems pretty weak as well... but Cumulus isn't known for paying decent wages to producers / screeners, and knowing Lew Dickey, that's probably the same person. I'll be sure to sample Huckabee again.

My vote remains with Phil Valentine. It's a shame he isn't carried in Cincinnati (hello, jry...) ;)

Here it is again, one more time: I find it hard to believe that Hannity, an Irish guy from Brooklyn, is a FAN of either country music, or CCM artist Michael W. Smith. Sorry, it just doesn't add up, and smacks of pandering to his audience. Back in the '80's, we would have referred to Hannity as a "Poser" ::)

Hopefully, Huckabee will improve, but frankly, Phil Valentine is far and above Huckabee in every way.

with his expression of distaste in CCM makes him look like hes against any form or Religious formts being on the radio. and you know the old saying if you are not saved by the lord and savior. you are doomed to rot in hell. and since he has a distaste for CCM it seems like hes acting like the poster is against anyform of religious belief. its bad enough we have to much of religious interbashing between Mormans and Catholics and religious beliefs in the GOP Race how the newt & Catholics are downgrading Romney and the mormon religion as nothing but a satanic Cult. Its bad enough we see Religion being played out in the presidential race. we dont need it to be brought into the radio spectrum in bashing one talk radio host. if you hate him you dont have to compare it to your distaste for CCM Music.

That be like me Stating my hatred of Rush Limbaugh and comparing it to the crap of hardcore rap. im sure that would piss someone else off out there that is into hardcore rap.

isnt there any other things that could be used as a hatred for to compare to Hanity other than a music format. Thats why i said it like that. using a music format based on religion was semi out of line for basing it on his hatred for hannity as a host

Where did I say that I HATED all CCM artists? Where did I say that I HATED organized religion? Where did I say that I HATE Hannity? Where did I say that I'm against religious formats being on the radio? Stop making such ridiculous assumptions. ::)

On the contrary, he could be one of those really old-timey Christian evangelists, the kind that are relegated to shortwave radio nowadays, who think any music written after, say, the 18th century is Satanic by nature. Or Bob Jones.

And at the risk of this thread TIOing, I'd like to say how offensive it is to sentence me to hell for not believing exactly the same as you do. When it comes down to it, none of us know what's really out there. It's an arrogance that only the devout seem to be able to get away with.
 
Regarding Hannity and country music, I wonder if he realizes that his theme song "Let Freedon Ring" is about an abused daughter who kills her father and burns the house down.

If you actually listened to Hannity over the years you'd realize that he does know his country music, loves it and has interviewed numerous country stars on his show. That includes Martina McBride who, IIRC, said she was honored that Hannity used a clip of her song for his theme. He doesn't use the whole song, just the chorus, so it makes perfect sense for his show. He mourned publicly when New York City lost its last country music station. He'd LOVE living here is southwwest Ohio because we've got a boatload of coutry music stations to choose from!
