HUDSON VALLEY/CATSKILLS

Sure would be nice if wsul and wvos-fm had live web steams!

97.3 didnt move to 97.7, 97.3 was a tower in Wurtsboro relaying that station and now plays The Wolf, a horrific country station, just like the other Country station in Sullivan County "Thunder 102" - Do you have your thunder cards. I had someone ask me what to do with it I said I dont know, so they threw it in the trash. There imaging sounds like it was done by a guy who had cotton balls stuffed in his mouth and was held at gunpoint

Ah, my bad. They were better off relaying Mix 97 then switching to that version of country garbage. It's Sullivan County though, would you expect any better websites? Streaming is just a mere dream.

My God, Thunder is bad. What a horrible morning chatfest about nothing. Maybe its all done with cotton balls.

you just have to love WTBQ at 99.1. All night long all that played was a loop of
"...from the WTBQ weather center, I'm meteorologist Sean Rolens.."

checked back when I woke up, still going on.
maybe its a new format?

you don't know what you are saying-----I only wish 102.1 was streaming----nyc could use a country station as good as the hudson valley country ones!!!!!Also:wvos-fm was a great country station!!!!!!!wtsx, fox country, port jervis is really good-----thunder's 107.7 signal stinks and could not be clearly heard at the best western in matamoras!!!!!!

Looking at Bold-Gold Media website, it appears all their stations will be streaming shortly!!

For their sake I hope the stream sounds better than the air signal which is dismal at best. The processing sounds like they run it through a Craig cassette recorder's auto leveler.

Thunder 102 should just either go Top 40 or rely K 104 on it's frequency. Unless, K 104's signal is already present in its coverage area. Is it? if not then do whatever with it.

Too bad that guy threw his thunder head card in the trash. I just saved myself 10% on my entire weekend vacation at a local resort just by showing them my Thunder Head card. Thunder 102 is the only station I listen to as they have their listeners best interests at heart. They give away lots of prizes and do lots of concerts and events. I was just at the Rascal Flatts Concert at Bethel Woods Sunday with a ton of other people and Thunder 102 did a tremendous job broadcasting live from there. My daughter was actually interviewed by one of their personalities on the air while standing in line waiting to get in. They made her feel so important. Keep up the great work Thunder 102. We love listening!!

Good point, although I saved 10% at ShopRite with my Price Plus card, and the music was better too. The checkout people making announcements were also more entertaining than any of Thunder 102's djs.
And what exactly is a "tremendous job" of broadcasting from the concert? Showing up?
Thunder 102 is a lame excuse for a radio station, it's poorly programmed, barely listened to, and just difficult to listen to for any period of time. If they truly had their listeners best interests at heart, they'd get in the game. You like Country? Check out WRWD or even the Wolf.

I'm sorry you feel that way really I do. Maybe you need to open your mind up a little and see whats going on. Thunder 102 is like no other station I've ever listened to. They do more for their listening community in 10 minutes than any other station anywhere. Music aside, I'd rather support and listen to a station whose morals and values are in line to what I also believe in. So before you go around trashing other stations, do your homework and find out what they have done in the short amount of time they have been around. And to show you the difference between you and me, I don't go around trashing other stations to make my point. You lost all credibilty with me after your third sentence as you are obviously just here to cause problems.

Thunder 102 may not be a perfect radio station, but I have met and dealt with the people there and they are truly a few of the nicest, kindest, and most genourous people I have ever met. Which is why their listening community loves them so much. I hope someday other stations would adapt this model more fully and get more involved with their listeners. The amount of money they helped raise for the causes that affected their listening area could never be matched by anyone else.
