Country Nut said:I'm sorry you feel that way really I do. Maybe you need to open your mind up a little and see whats going on. Thunder 102 is like no other station I've ever listened to. They do more for their listening community in 10 minutes than any other station anywhere. Music aside, I'd rather support and listen to a station whose morals and values are in line to what I also believe in. So before you go around trashing other stations, do your homework and find out what they have done in the short amount of time they have been around. And to show you the difference between you and me, I don't go around trashing other stations to make my point. You lost all credibilty with me after your third sentence as you are obviously just here to cause problems.
Thunder 102 may not be a perfect radio station, but I have met and dealt with the people there and they are truly a few of the nicest, kindest, and most genourous people I have ever met. Which is why their listening community loves them so much. I hope someday other stations would adapt this model more fully and get more involved with their listeners. The amount of money they helped raise for the causes that affected their listening area could never be matched by anyone else.
Don't feel sorry for me, I have listened to other stations and Thunder and made a very thoughtful comparison.
I'm certainly not here to cause you or anyone else problems. But I've heard Thunder 102 and must respectfully disagree with you. I'm not "trashing" them, but I honestly do believe they sound amateurish.
Many of your points are without facts to back them up.
Really?? The greatest ever?? Thats some statement. What did they do in 10 minutes that was so great?"They do more for their listening community in 10 minutes than any other station anywhere"
And these listeners have expressed their love for the station to you personally?"Which is why their listening community loves them so much"
What exactly is that amount? Can you state a number?"The amount of money they helped raise for the causes that affected their listening area could never be matched by anyone else"
I guarantee you that the money WSUL raises in its annual Heartathon, or WRWD raises for St. Jude's,or WHUD raises for The Childrens Miracle Network or even what Imus raises in Sullivan County alone for the ranch each exceed all of what Thunder does in a year combined.
It's nice that they connect with you on some level, (does a station have morals and values?)
I agree with you on one point...
but sadly, they just sound poor."Thunder 102 is like no other station I've ever listened to"
