Funny how quickly we got off the subject of R&B. I understand. It's clearly a show for medium markets because they just fart around with a lot of time to kill and little focus or direction. Seems like when they were on the very small Turner South network they tried a little harder. I guess it's just comfortable for those that don't want to bothered all that much. But if you want to see real filler look at one of the books they wrote. Even though it was mostly ghost written it's just kind of rambling around with no point of purpose. You'd have a better shot of being entertained spending that $20 on lottery tickets. It didn't sell well but it puzzled me that Dave Ramsey endorsed it. I thought he was about not blowing cash unnecessarily.
Not sure on this but I'm guessing Nashville is their largest market, followed by Birmingham, then Timbucktwo in Alabama. Are any of these syndicated shows making money? It just seems when a syndicator lumps a bunch of small to medium to some large markets in a pot and sells the spots for bottom dollar, we continue to cheapen the value of radio as bargain basement media. After all these years we still sell it in volume and give it away and past the top 10 obvious home runs most are just bland, average, and wouldn't be missed if they folded tomorrow.
