I miss Imus!

He was a true genious who entertained and informed me for thirty years. What am I left with now? The Felon or the Crustation? Lets just hope that satelite radio moves quickly. Everyone could use a sense of humor....

You'll have XM or Sirius laughing all the way to the bank each month!

[EDIT]

Missing Imus! is much better than a Found Imus. We need more Red Sox games so we can "miss" more
afternoon drive hosts who have nothing to say.

Missing Imus. Now there is a life devoid of meaning.

I'd say that's more than a bit over the line. I've heard a number of Imus' former listeners tell me they miss him.

I was never a big fan of his, but others apparently were.

Telling them their lives are devoid of meaning because they listened to someone you didn't shows a closed mind.

Varu....whatever.....

How's your tv show doing? Radio? YouTube? Where can we catch your act? I'd love to see what you do.

Thanks. I think someone with your intellect deserves more publicity and exposure.

Imus was race baited. If Imus was black and said those remarks about the Rutgers basketball team, do you think Sharpton and Jackson would have come to their rescue.NO NO
I'm alot more afraid of the far right and left than anything Imus says.

speaking of Imus we'll have to see what replaces him on various stations. I would think WTKK is seriously
considering making the 4 hour Barnicle show permanent, or maybe they can make him 6-9 pm and give
Graham an extra hour (commitment to local shows). In Providence we're hearing Beck may start next
Monday on WHJJ 9-noon, and Quinn and Rose would air live in the 6-9a slot instead of tape delayed as they're
doing now:

Some rock stations, like the "Fox" up in Rutland VT may be going with local host/music shows, etc.
Meanwhile MSNBC is apparently trying some different hosts in the TV version of what had been the I-man's
slot; for Mon-Wed. of next week that means Steph Miller (apparently doing her show early; maybe it would
be rebroadcast at 9 am on her regular radio affiliates. She's out of LA right? So 3 am for her those 3 days!)

Depending upon who makes the comment.....IMUS is either missed or already forgotten. :-\

I still think it's pathetic that few radio stations are willing to take a chance on a new format or a different slant when it comes to talk programming?

Many radio stations have already arrived at BOREDOM...and the listeners are starting to tune out!

Good grief. With all the publicity you'd think someone would jump all over him! Everyone was talking about Imus! Can't tell you how many people asked me "Who is this Imus guy"? He became a household word in just a few days. Ok, he said something unkind and became a "poster child". Let's remove all the RAP songs that use ghetto language. Take Jerry Springer and Povich off the air as well. While we are cleaning things up, remove those "judge" shows that feast on un educated sorry souls.

Menotti, how can you say he was "race baited" when the whole thing seemed so contrived and scripted!

That being said, interesting a new name comes forth "Doma" now to talk about my program.

They can't stand talking about the topic, like Imus, it always comes back to talking about me.

Perhaps D.I. is boring them to tears at this point...?

O Sharpton will not get a Black person in trouble ! Sharpton Will Not Go after Rap Music ! Just to let you know , Al Sharpton is trying to put a Black cop in Jail ( 4 Cops Shot at Sean Bell 50 Times , that killed Sean Bell ) . Al Sharpton always hated Gangsta Rap . Ok you might have a point with " I love the ladies , Not my Wife " Jesse Jackson .

btw Imus will be on FNC's Hannity and Colmes tomorrow night

No...the story I heard is that Bernie McGuirk will appear.

The interesting thing will be to see what comes of this high powered/high profile law firm that Imus has hired. For what? no one knows yet but the obvious answer would be for litigaton against MSNBC and CBS for his dismissal. Imus was the one who said that he didn't want to be remembered after a remarkable 40 year career for the "nappy headed ho" scandal, imagine how he'll be remembered if he sues. I dont see any upside for him there, then again at this point he doesn't have anything to lose either. A good portion of the country just thinks he's an old racist, even those who had never heard him before now see him that way. As for Hannity and Colmes Imus SAID that he was not going to go on the talk show circuit which is wise. Going on fox would only add fuel to the fire of those who already have a negative view of the man.

He should not sue! By suing he will miss his opportunity to be on Saturday 7 p.m.-11 p.m.and Sunday 3 p.m.-7 p.m. the slot where WFNY-FM sends jocks who should've sued but didn't have the courage to.

That is correct. Bernard will be on H&C. Doubtful he'll do his "Cardinal Egan" schtick though ;D

Yeah someone on FreeRepublic must have heard wrong; maybe half listening and they had said "Bernie
McGuirk from the Imus show" and they thought they had said Imus.
Business Wire: "FOX News Channel’s Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes will conduct a live exclusive interview with former Imus radio producer Bernard McGuirk, on Thursday, April 26th during Hannity & Colmes (9PM/ET).
This will be McGuirk’s first public comments since being fired from his longtime position as radio producer for “Imus in the Morning,” where he was involved in the now infamous on air exchange regarding the Rutgers women’s basketball team. "

I also do, I never listen to Hannity, he is on 920 whjj, Bernie McGuirk is on, he is telling it like it is. Sharpton, Clinton et all in back of the rift.

Now, will anyone discuss Michael Vick's cousin, who just happens to rent Michael's home, fighting pits?/

Perhaps not, as we have to be so sensitive, to persons of color that are bad.

I am so tired of this, cannot discuss the demands of the Muslims in this country, they want it both ways, Muslim and American Law. Sharpton , has he ever apologized.
