Idea for Another Classic TV Subchannel

For a long time I had an idea for a classic cable TV channel, called "The Bomb Channel".....nothing but just awful TV shows of the past, some that only ran 1, 2, or 3 episodes.....of course there wouldn't be enough to fill a 24/7 sked, outside of countless rerunning....but infomercials could run in the odd hours.

Certainly, whether a subchannel or cable, it might work.....it sure would be a change of pace from shows/networks that try hard to work! The logo bug could be a lit bomb (like the Milton Bradley "Time Bomb"), and the slogan would be "Laugh AT us, not with us."

:)

cd

You would have no such shortage of bombs: "My Mother The Car", "The Tammy Grimes Show", "The Ugliest Girl In Town", "Accidental Family", "Blondie" (the 1968 version), "The Pruitts of Southampton", "O.K. Crackerby", "Me and the Chimp", "Holmes and Yo-Yo", "Mr T. and Tina", "The Waverly Wonders"...and that's just from the 60's and 70's!

And no infomercials!

..and the irony is that some of those infamous "bombs" chances are would be hits today. Not too long ago I had seen the infamous "Turn-ON" with Tim Conway. Turn-ON could work today if we are talking about an updated version of course.

My idea for a sub-channel would be a combo news and lifestyle channel where a group of stations within one state would feed the programming. Example...lets use Virginia. Have all the ABC affiliates within Virginia ( Norfolk's WVEC, Richmond-Petersburg's WRIC, Roanoke-Lynchburg's WSET, Harrisonburg-Winchester's WHSV and Charlottlesville's ABC 16...feed into the pool and each station would use one of their subchannels to broadcast. A combo of a Virginia News Network and Non-stop Virginia.

The idea of classic TV is a good one for sub channels BUT I have to wonder what Me-TV, Antenna and RTV would be airing say 5 years from now. Something tells me that two of them wont be doing the classic TV thing.
