Re: Craig's List?

Great, some website, where anybody from a competing station can come on, claim to be a listener who just happens to really hate 94/9 because its such an awful station. Or how about someone from Z90 comming on and saying "oh, that 933 stinks, they took away Q106, and now I have that awful 933 to listen to. Just terrible. Good thing there's Z90..." Sure, real objective...

It's radio politics, that's all it is.
So I ask again, why should we care?

Garrett, I think you need to step back for a little while and not post at all. This thread, in particular, has gotten ridiculous, and all the ranting is coming from your keyboard.
______________

Everything is beautiful, in it's own way...
(Sing, everybody!)

Ok, taking a deep breath....

Reminds me of WMAQ radio after Group W and CBS merged. WMAQ was in the WBBM building, but because of union jurisdiction issues, there was an invisible wall around it where no WBBM employee could touch a piece of equipment.
______________

this wall is not invisible

Re: Loco ....

Craiglist posting seems "inside." As much as the post from Stillaguamish. The bottom line is that 949 is DONE. With the success of the other J.P. properties, rumors are already circulating that a "FLIP" is being discussed. Classic rock? Re: YOU DIE, 94/9. YOU DIE AND YOU GO TO HELL!

Let me take this opportunity to jump in and say, "screw 94/9"! They are not free-form or indie like they say. A real free-form station probably couldn't get enough ratings to compete for advertisers. And yes, I hold a grudge against those snobs for coldly rejecting my audition tape when they first started, even though I would have been a perfect fit with my knowledge, experience and talent, so here I am freezing my butt off on the east coast. Sour grapes? You're damn right. I hope their ratings decline continues, as it has for the last four ratings periods. So yes, screw you 94/9, now go play Radiohead for the tenth time today.

Would it help if we, I mean they offered you a job now?

Of course! I'd jump on a plane and fly back to San Diego and beg forgiveness for my ill-conceived post. But I doubt that offer will be coming any time soon...

NONONONONONONONONO. Don't do it. You'll be out of work before you know it. Trust me, "people" are talking!!! 949 is on the way out. EVERY other station that shared the format has failed. FM949 is the ONLY one left and is barely holding on.
