Well I guess SOMEONE has to start this thread :
I am guessing this will happen if (company A) buys these stations:
CBS-96.5-stays "Mix" with a more alternative lean to compliment Hot, and K-rock, yeah I said K-rock......
or goes Fresh and become a type of AC, soft, soft modern, or otherwise.......
101-I don't see this station staying Mega given the reason for spinning this station off, I think "K-Rock 101"
(think LA KROQ,not NYC K-rock)
probably with Opie and Anthony in the mornings, and Loveline late at night.....
Or maybe urban AC, I think CBS can do this, and get the Magic Man away from 102, he is
under appreciated over there, with Zoe Bonet at night......
Entercom-not likely but we all know that-96.5-probably like KAMX Austin
101-Possibly rock again
Citadel-ha ha-same as Entercom-96.5-watered down mix, maybe like WPLJ NYC
101-another Scott Shannon True Oldies Vehicle, boring presentation, but
nice change of pace musically. Yeah we have KHTC-HD2, but it is not on
where most can hear it....NO one I know has a HD radio....that I know of
Emmis-same as the other cash strapped cos.-96.5-status quo
101-Emmis is one of those companies that could think outside
the box, maybe a Serious News/Talker or maybe even AAA...
or maybe even go after 97-9 and become "Power 101"
modeled after the successful hip hop stations in NY and LA...
BMP-96.5-probably stays the same, I see them keeping this English
101-stays Mega if that's allowed, or maybe Digital 101....
or maybe be a rhythmic AC..let's see how that works on a full signal
Lotus-96.5-AC or status quo, probably tweaked
101-judging by there stations, they have quite a bit of rock, so rock 101 reborn.....
Bonneville-you never know-96.5-finally a 96-5 delivers on a better mix, I think they would do a good job w/mix
101-News/Talk, maybe even...(gasp!)a new country station....what about a comtemporary standards (Emmis could do this here also) I think in Houston it may just work,.
The Slumlords-Cox-96.5-a copy of KSMG San Antonio, yuck
101-Country Legends to use frequency position to its advantage from KILT.
or some type of dry AC format, or even Urban AC
Liberman-96.5 and 101-all you need is a sound effect of a toilet flushing.....
ok your turn group.............
