If I were CC Cincy I'd....

Are you kidding? The Reds will love not being on the big one.
If they're on WKRC especially, guess what people who listened to the Reds outside the region will have to do?
Yep, subscribe to MLB Field Pass or whatever it's called. More revenue for baseball.

CC sells WLW, they lose the Reds too. Its just the way it is.

Clear Channel is selling and selling quick, they just want out! They dont care what they lose til the dust is settled. WLW has to have a new owner by the end of March! If not WLW, it will be WOFX/WNNF. You dont hear too many companies clawing over those two? Instead, you hear Bonneville and we know Bonneville has and wants WLW. Hmmm....

For those thinking Clear Channel wouldn't want to sell the #1 station, they sold the #1 rated WALK-FM on Long Island easily. It's not out of the realm of possibility.

Clear Channel doesnt hold Cincinnati with as much regard as it once did. The reason it did so long ago because their chief was living in Covington...now, its just another market.

Clear Channel could care less about WLW. Its a million dollar figure to them, thats all..nothing special!

However if Bonneville takes the station, it will actually mean something to them.

WLW to Clear Channel is nothing, just another form of revenue!

They don't care about the stations - People are their most important asset!

LOL!! Search Yahoo for "Clear Channel Communications"

The second listing says "We believe Clear Channel's people are our most important asset. ...
www.clearchannel.com/Radio/home.aspx"

The link for that page brings up a 404 LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

"People are their most important asset!"
BWAAAHAAHAHHAHAHA!
The next line should be "and when we fire them they become a more 'liquid' asset!"
OMG, those CC people are nuthin' but love, huh?
Bonneville will treat WLW with the respect it deserves.

1530 is 50,000 while 55 is only 5,000

But WKRC's coverage area is equally as good due to its' low dial position. That means, even with a significant null to the northeast to protect WGR-Buffalo, WKRC enjoys one of the best coverage areas in the region (obviously excluding The Big One here...) and has a nice nighttime pattern.

WCKY has the opposite problem - it's location on the high end limits the daytime coverage area, which - even at equal power to WLW - has nowhere near the range that 700 has, and is comparable to 550's. It's only because of the clear channel-A status that WCKY's night signal is so dominant that past owners took advantage by hawking out the overnight hours to the preachers and creatures crowd.

Swapping formats would be the ultimate lateral move.
