If you could bring back one radio show, who would it be?

The Boston Sunday Review with Danny Schecter and Susan Sprecher on WBCN, the best locally-produced public affairs program of all time.

Also, Maxanne Sartori.

The Biiiiiig Mattress with Charles Laquidara.

Tai was and is excellent. I also worked with him for a time. And would love to again. Besides being great on-air, he's a good guy. Great that he got away from FNX. He was under appreciated there for too long. It's been a mess ever since. Wish WZLX never did away with him. That was a bad call. Sweeney's Neighborhood never left a mark (hence why it got moved out). Sweeney just wasn't a radio guy.

Hey, Tai, I mean Redbaron, good to hear from you. What was it you, excuse me, Tai ever did at ZLX? All I seem to remember was you, um, him steping on jokes and laughing that phony laugh. You are right however, they should have swept Sweeney out the same time they got rid of you...excuse me, Tai.

I agree with most of what you're saying Red, at fnx at that time NO ONE who actually offered something on air was appreciated, even by the airstaff, it was a bad clique situation where the non talents hated the talents, and management had no appreciation for anyone in that building. I think they may have learned their lesson by now, or at least have a better idea since they could not hold onto anyone who amde any ripples with the audience there for years. Tai's fantastic, and I guarantee you that Tai is not Red Baron, not his style to hype himself, ever.

Happy 4th Bytchez!

LOL ;)

I just thought of another show:

"Moods for Moderns" on WFNX hosted by DIEGO!................... The show before Diego took it over was a non event, Diego while never a great on air personality was GREAT for that show in that context and actually did something truly different and "alternative" and educated an audience that was trying so hard to be hipsters and were nowhere near Diego on that front. He definately discovered some gems that went on to become HUGE songs but more than that he opened a lot of minds up to different means of rock expression, other than just three chord rock or worhipping at the Nirvana alta which everyone else at fnx did at the time. ThAT guy needs to be on the radio again!>
