If you the clout to change/create a local TV Guide edition pre-2005

Yeah, I was on a roll last night! :)

Another change I would have made to the Northern Alabama edition would have been the inclusion of WSFA-12 from Montgomery in the listings. Montgomery is about 85 miles S of Birmingham, and Channel 12's analog signal covered Birmingham's southern suburbs, including as far north as Hoover, Vestavia, et al. For the same reason, both WBRC-6 and WAPI-13 should have been included in the Southern Alabama edition. Both Channel 6 and Channel 13 were included in cable lineups in the Montgomery area well into the early '80's, if not later.

Truth be told, the Alabama edition of the late '50's and early '60's probably should not have been split into two separate editions. The only drawback would have been that there could have been initially at least three sets of duplicate channels, and by the mid '80's, a fourth.
