When I listened to NRJ 90s (now Energy 90s) from Switzerland, the mix is very wide, as far as genre is concerned. You can hear Michael Bolton next to the Notorious B.I.G., Ace of Base next to Nirvana, Michael Jackson next to Guns N' Roses, and so on. It really is a diverse decade as far as mainstream music is concerned. Though it helps NRJ 90s that European radio tastes are not as splintered as those of the US.I think it's a great mix, especially for a decade that saw splintered formats and lots of different niche stuff compared with the 80s.
That a fair comment I’m in Ireland I hear what you are saying . Think playlist for 90s is tight if it 300 songs it’s a lot by what you are saying energy is double that. Diverse is good tho. When I listened to NRJ 90s (now Energy 90s) from Switzerland, the mix is very wide, as far as genre is concerned.
