Forgive me if I'm getting off topic and if I'm being naive, but why is BIG government letting this happen?
Why does Lou Barletta look like a wild law man trying to keep the peace?
He is a national story because he seems to be "bucking" the system by buckling down on illegal activities.
Why does this seem absurd to some?
Why was an undocumented alien allowed to marry a local after a fight in the courts?
Are the illegal immigrants the squeaky wheel while the rest of the machine runs smoothly?
Are we wrong to feel our country is being invaded whereas immigrants used to be assimilated and share their heritage?
On another note, why has the Jena 6 become a national story? 6 guys beat someone unconscious. 1 of them was tried as an adult. Who cares if he was black? 6 guys beat someone unconscious! The "leader" should pay.
Why isn't the ACLU protecting the rights of blonde haired, blue eyed, white straight men?
And finally, pertaining to a previous post, there have been many times when someone came in to a station speaking a new language. Almost everyone has a different view of station jargon. What do you call a collection of commercials? A stop set? a cluster? What's the difference between a liner, a bumper, a promo and a sweeper? What does one thought per break mean? Does backselling an artist count as part of that thought? When does a recurrent become a gold? What is a gold? Sooner or later all the ideas get, here comes that Borg word again, assimilated and all runs smoothly. Maybe that should become our national theme, resistance is futile. Or not.
P.S. Senunas's is not even where it used to be. Think of Charlie's Market as a bar. I think Dave Scherbanko (sp?) still has a hand in it.
Thanks for letting me rant.
