Indefinite Vay Cay for Jay

He became the worst adjective in radio -- boring. If his ratings were strong, there would be no suspension. We all know that. His iterations became too much, and too many tuned out. It's a shame; I liked him in his early days, when he seemed fairly neutral. I remember him criticizing Bush and doing those "press conferences" with how he would answer. Those were entertaining; he lost his way.

Ouch, must know something we don't

does anyone think wtkk is moving towards hot talk?? like cbs tried with a few stations before flipping to sports and other formats when they all failed!

I think they just got fed up with Jay's hissy fits and are trying to move on, maybe with a host that can be bothered to do the show from the studio so it doesn't sound like a thread and a tin can.

Do they still have Michael Graham? They should give him the slot.

I mean, isn't that what they hired him for originally?

I agree with just about every thing he says. It's the way he presents it that I have a problem with. He would suddenly start babbling about Katie Couric's breasts right in the middle of a political topic. I remember him interviewing Ann Coulter and the discussion reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry and his girlfriend called each other "Schmoopy".

I think TKK would be wise to twaek the format to try and bring in more younger listeners. I like Bower maybe he isn't right for afternoon drive but he sounded fresh, treated the callers well and moved the show along at a good pace. Compared to Howie Carr who sounds tired and stale. I can't take to many more hours of Obama bashing.

Since Grace Balzer discovered Smerconish I don't he is going anywhere and I am not sure Mel Robbins would want to do a show.

How long till we see the Chicopee Herald or
the Kennedy Times proclaim that Severin’s gone,
in favor of Mike Bowers or something? Mark S of Boston Radio Watch predicts they could instead carry Smirk-onish live, move Graham to the pm drive slot, then pick up another syndie show
(probably Gardening Talk, given their recent
drift away from politics)

They weren't?

Nope, they weren't, If they were, I wouldn't have posted that they weren't. I'm going to assume your response was in jest so other posters won't accuse me of picking on you.

If only all life's questions were this easy.

Regards,
TSB

I would assume the agent will soon say VCJ has a valid contract and needs to be paid. (BTP opined that his -unpaid- suspensions are a way of reworking his deal).
Otherwise why take him off suspension and just save the prorated 1M salrey?

Well I think that he prefers music to talk. Also he is a liberal who used to refer to WTKK as "WKKK" when he was on the air at FNX. He had to hate working for Severin.
