Indie rockers force Hannity to change number

Boston Phoenix, via FreeRepublic:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/1461221/posts?page=1

A Brooklyn band was set to release an album whose title featured Sean Hannity's private phone number (with the talk host's home address in the liner notes).
Enter lawyers, etc. Hannity changed his number.

Kind of reminiscent of the 70s hit Don't Call Us We'll Call You by Sugarloaf
which managed to feature the "beeps" of the phone number of one label that turned
them down (CBS, I think).<P ID="signature">______________

Love him or hate him, it's just not fair to put his home number and address out like this. It crosses over "The Line".

Recently, some members of that same message board put out the home addresses and phone numbers of Air America's Randi Rhodes, along with her legal last name. (As far as I know, none of the people who actually DID that were posting on the thread linked above.) It's wrong for them to do that to her, and it's wrong for these boneheaded "indy rockers" to do this to Sean Hannity.

OA, you are right as rain that its wrong to do things like that but after what I have seen Hannity, O'Reilly, Hannitym, Sludge Report and Michelle "self-hating racist" Malkin do to Cindy Sheehan..its so hard to resist enjoyment of this story....now i have to wait to see what the other side will do to retaliate further...and its going to go back and forth...

But because i loathe Hannity.. its so hard to resist the GLEE...must fight desire to see Hannity made to be miserable...must agree with OA....because he is correct...fight the desire to see Hannity flamed on his personal phone...good that he was able to change it in time...i guess...

Ahhh thats better....anybody got that Stones' NeoCon song...ill listen to that to feel better...LOL

She announced in on Air America but i honestly forgot ....i think she may have done that in response to the Freepers to show she didn't give a rats patoot if people knew her real name....i didn't know they had her home number..im sure she changed it too..

If speaking my opinion is anger..then let it be anger...

Was having some fun with the hannity situation....this coming from you who argued with me about Rush's parody's. I don't like Hannity at all...but i didn't think it was right.....well Scooby, guess you and Shaggy and the gang figured me out...im a liberal that doesn't like Hannity.....guess liberals can't have a sense of humor....oh well, i would have gotten away with it if it wasnt for those meddling conservatives.

Regarding Michelle Malkin,

I read (unfortunately) In Defense of Internment and i also read Invasion.... have you? Im betting you don't have the slightest idea about this woman.

If you haven't then you don't know jack....about Michelle or my beliefs or opinions AFTER reading her piece of crap revisionist books. Malkin IS a self-hating racist (in my opinion) who has a very twisted view of World War II atrocities to the Japanese-Americans.

I also noticied that you would rather defend Malkin. This woman is also a clairvoyant who can communicate with Sheehan's dead son and explain his beliefs much better than his mother, who actually might have knew him. You certainly have the right to pick and choose what you defend..but methinks you might have not picked wisely. (IMHO)

I guess humor is not humor when it touches something on the right wing ...amazing how that works...whatever....

hmmm wonder what im thinking now....hmmmm lets see if Scooby knows...LOL..ill let him tell me since he knows whats on my mind better than I do...heres a scooby snack for ya..

Nahhh, I don't think anyone would follow your thought there. Malkin has no public forum like Hannity who has a show on that big box called a
"TeeVee" and the little box called a "RayDeeO". Unfortunately, he speaks enough to where most people can get an idea of what he believes. Fortunately, its enough that I don't have to read any of his books, but Malkin, well you have do something the right wing does so little of....reading. If you look at her blog, you get that she has little to offer... but you wouldn't know where one could get the idea that she might not like history unless you read her books. You also get a sense of racism. Thats why people read to get a sense of what a person has to say. I know these are funny words to you but oh well, you can't help everyone...

Hmmm, nahh ill pass on this. The right has never said "self-hating" before... ..yeah...NOT....LOL....and I don't remember me mentioning any one's gayness...but you can if you must....LOL

Again, have to pass on that one...yawn....you know nothing about Malkin so no need to go further. The real issue is the dirty job she and the others i mentioned did on Cindy Sheehan...i mention Sheehan and you talk about my quip on Malkin. I humored you a little bit Scooby...but time to get back to Reality...Malkin/Hannity/etc were wrong to attack this woman for doing absolutely what she has a right to do, speak out against the war...and those who claim to support the troops attack her because she's not happy with the ever-changing reasons Bush uses to justify the war.... your trying to direct the point to Malkin is kind of like Bush witnessing the the attack the WTC and his reaction is to attack IRAQ...and you think I listen too little...man life on the right sure is odd....time to move on....lata

I honestly don't remember the legal (maiden) name. It wasn't really all that important to me. Randi has said on the air many times that "Rhodes" was the on-air name she adopted as a rock DJ many years ago, given to her by her PD at the time, I believe. She also, long before any of this, gave out her married name on the air as a part of relating a story.

The incident in question happened when someone posted a link to Florida property information online with her home address in West Palm Beach, her apartment in NYC and her full legal name.

As a veteran of this business, I'm never terribly surprised when I learn someone uses an air name, and it's frankly none of my business what's on their birth certificate. And since I have no plans to go to West Palm Beacn or NYC and drop in on Randi, I don't really care where she lives.
