Entravision already knows that the 103.1 signals are a bad choice for Spanish. this rumor is just that... speculation.

Entravision did not build Indie. Entravision discovered that the two 103.1 signals did not work to reinforce one of their company's Spanish stations. So they did a JSA (joint sales agreement) with Clear Channel to market for them a new English format on the station.
In short order, the FCC decided JSA's were counted for determination of any company's total station count in a market. This change, with Indie's two signals, put Clear over the cap and they returned the stations to Entravision.
At present, the signals produce less than a share point of listening, and are a tough sell with such low ratings. when part of Clear's sales portfolio, the numbers were additive and complementary and could be sold in combos with ohter stations.
Any guess at the future is speculation. the fact is, at the $85 million paid for the 103.1 signals would require a cash flow of maybe $5 million to make this a good investment. As it is, the combo is not even billing this amount, so the use of that money is not giving proper returns on the investment.

No, it does not. even rimshot KLYY has more than double the numbers, and KSSE has about triple the figures.

No chance. the first chooice for Entravision is Spanish, followed by Hispanic formats in English, like hip hop. The Dallas signals are low rated because the signals are rimshots. They are rimshots in English, also.
Indie consists of two wretched class A signals at the fringes of the market. It has very limited coverage.

True. I thought you would like a bit of the perspective on how Indie started.
