Indy's i94 now Hot AC

ND Guy - what's your source? If we are to believe you on your word, let us know who you are to validate yourself as someone who would have first hand knowledge - otherwise you're just argumentative with others here who have sourced their information.

Not only have I cited some of my sources, but the person who raised the question has acknowledged that all third-party sources agree with me and that only the LinkedIn profile in question backs the Fall '06 claim.

Here are more third-party sources regarding Morgan's departure:

http://www.emmis.com/press/Story.aspx?id=1316725

Wow, even the Emmis press release says he was there until 2007.

The Song was dumped in November 2006. Morgan was ousted in August 2007. These are not opinions; these are not conjecture; these are facts.

I've been listening to the i94 morning show a couple days, and have some observations.

1. There doesn't seem to be much preparation that goes into most breaks. It's as if the only prep was somebody saying "Okay, on the next break, we're gonna talk about our dogs. I hope somebody has something interesting to say!" Frequently they don't.

2. They lack the discipline to know when to stop talking. Breaks frequently get very long and very uninteresting. They don't know how to end it and move on. In the current radio climate you've got to keep it compelling and keep it moving.

3. There are frequent mentions of Atlanta traffic and weather or Georgia sports teams. This is fine IF YOU'RE IN GEORGIA! It's as if they (especially the supporting players) either don't know or don't care that they're on in another market.

I'm suprprised that this low quality of show is sufficient to be on the air in a market the size of Atlanta, let alone being fed to Indy. There is simply no way this will work here. Yet another terrible Cumulus move.

Station is trending down - August AQH and Cume are the lowest for I94 in some time, which seems to indicate the syndicated talent isn't moving the needle for them.

However, seems Cumulus is happy regardless of ratings because this programming saves them overhead [less payroll] on local expenses, and as someone said earlier, as long as the local management group is delivering top line revenue, they don't seem to care.

Does anyone know the answer to this question - does Cumulus have network sellers for programming like the syndicated morning show from Atlanta? I realize they had some network programming [and more with Citadel's purchase] that's sold at network level. However does everything that they program across multiple markets [like I94's morning show] carry network inventory? Just curious if there are morning show network sellers competing for business with local sellers, to clear in this morning show.

Not to pile on, but does the i94 processing sound off to anyone? My wife, who isn't a radio person, mentioned that songs by Adele and Christina Aguilera sounded "cut off" when they were belting out the high notes.

By the looks of it no matter what format is on that frequency the ratings might tank. Journey might be next or maybe 94 rock to flanker WJJK.

When does the Christmas Music start this year?

I have the format!! Since they can never get any ratings for their formats, so the format is the "Jan Jefries Stunting Format".
Today, tomorrow, next month..who knows?? 93.9 The Stunt.
