Ingraham leaves TRN...Boston affil.?

Laura Ingaham has bounced back and forth between RKO and TKK...now she's leaving Talk Radio Network. Not sure if Boston station would air her show (now apparently going to Clear Channel/iHeart Radio).

Room for her on RKO? Prob not...TKK? maybe if they put her on delay, at night. WBZ, prob not. And CC had cons talk on 1200 but that's gone now.

WZAN 970 Portland has Laura I. on 10a-1pm--signal across water on North Shore

http://cincinnati.com/blogs/tv/2012/11/27/laura-ingraham-show-to-resume-soon/

>>Talkers Magazine says her departure “comes as no surprise to industry observers who have long known of the not-so-secret friction that has existed for years between Ingraham and TRN’s top management.” Michael Savage abruptly left TRN/Real Talk 1160 in September

They said Tammy Bruce is filling in for Laura until they find someone. They should just keep Tammy Bruce on there. She used to be with them from Noon-3pm
Why not just keep her?

Thought I read TRN is giving the slot to Monica Crowley, who used to do weekends for TRN and occasional fill ins
for Laura. Bruce, another fill in for Laura in the past, used to do weekdays for TRN. Not sure about Crowley though

Bruce supposedly does a 10am-noon show on TalkStreamLive web streaming but now...?
Wiki, on Bruce:
>>Bruce hosted a national radio program on Talk Radio Network through much of the 2000s (decade), which aired on Saturday nights. (A weekday version, which aired opposite The Rush Limbaugh Show and The Radio Factor, met with far less success.) She returned to TRN in 2012 as a guest host following the cancellation of The Laura Ingraham Show.

Last I saw, Crowley was syndicated via the Salem Radio Network, at least on the weekends, anyway...

Ingraham left her first syndicator because they refused to move her from nights to mid days. At the time, she wanted to be able to attend DC evening events. With a young daughter, I assume she would want to be at home at night.

I remember seeing her at a forum in DC when I was working for another network, I gave her a hard time about going to work for the cult leaders son. She said Mark Masters was awesome and he was the best boss she has ever had. I guess things changed. I don't care for her politics but based on the few times I have spent time with her she is good company and very down to earth.

Yes and meanwhile Howie is back into full this-is-zombie-radio, equipment's Marconi-originals
talk on his RKO-based network. The signal problems this time of year is the reason. Would
TKK offer him a job in 2 yrs, or would he stay at RKO, or webcast only, or...?

Ingraham has signed with Norm Pattiz' Courtside Entertainment (so named as he is a Lakers fan)
which does Dr Drew, Loveline, and some kind of feature with O'Reilly. More details later today
(this acc to Tom Taylor Now & Talkers) incl. maybe an idea on when she'll start the new show.
Doubtful she'd be on in Boston unless (both unlikely but who knows) WTKK keeps talk but
re-shuffles, or 1200 goes back to talk (very unlikely--they would either stay comedy or maybe
take on Fox Sports to satisfy owner Clear Channel/get ads cleared). Or maybe somehow she'd find a home on a Salem station like 590 or 950. All unlikely though.

If WTKK-96.9 (as is being rumored) drops talk, it may become impossible for Laura Ingraham (or Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity, for that matter) to get any clearance in Boston.

Sat. radio or online is one way to hear them, or affiliates a slight distance away
WGIR 610, WTAG 580/94.9, WZAN 970 Portland (I get that on N Shore across water), WHJJ 920,
WXTK 95.1 etc. Maybe some on WPKZ 1280 Fitchburg (...which is getting the Sox back next yr)

WHJJ is audible in the Boston area and how good depends on your radio. An AM loop antenna (like the type available at Radio Shack and online) improves signal quality greatly. WHJJ is available online at their website, on iHeart Radio, and on internet radios.

Andrea Tantaros, with Jason Mattera, to get Ingraham's slot on TRN. Laura will be via Courtside
Entertainment and both shows start Jan 2. At this point I don't think either will wind up on Boston
radio but who knows. (See News-Talk board)
