For many years, 'Inside Edition' used to come on after 1:30am in Philly. It was routinely passed over by all stations for daytime/evening clearances. The Philly stations for years were trying to kill it by not airing it, though in other markets it aired at normal times, which probably kept it alive. I think for a short while it was on WGTW but wound back up again on KYW's graveyard shift.
Hearst stations tended to air it in the evening (WBAL has aired it at 7 for years).
It's odd WTXF's sudden interest in it. I suppose it's because it fits with FOX 29 news and TMZ, now, and WTXF wanted some cheap filler without Seinfeld. WTXF will be picking up Dr. Oz and Anderson Cooper, so maybe they exceeded the syndicated budget.
