-I will remain professional here and just say ________.com
(hey, message me, happy to tell you the website)
...Simple Question:
Does the internet radio station, take it self way to SERIOUS?
With the day and age we live in...it is the potential to create a format
for a specific genre, produce quality imaging(?sp)[etc]...and really make an impact;
However, the online versions of "jack FM"(for example) ...really
do not have a handle on how to run a station!!! i am finding more and more
stations, that play tunes, talk til they are tired, and then pick another
*random* song.... is this good radio? i feel , not so.
I-Radio/As explained above:
...they think because of the instant messenger, and most likely
not knowing how many are tuned in .. they think the world is LISTENING.
and, like the(poorly executed) college radio show, that gets a few callers to stroke their
ego, they think they are theee SHOW on the aire! and keep the on aire material, so close
to the audience that is (1)friends, or (2) in the know, the newbie like myself, has no clue...
and when asked, it is usually *your fault*
Example:
-i just tuned into ___________.com and opened my messenger, to
tune in - and simply questioned why you went from the artist:
incubus to journey,
...said maybe not the best move...and boy the replies i got; i "offended"
soo many people because that was "their" request...and that I shouldnt
be speaking so harsh; to the DJ, and continued to a "furthermore" who
am i to dicate what is played; (etc, etc). . . i simply typed back "WOW"
-they tried to explain the elements of the "REQUESTS" to me...(which went
over like a lead balloon).
So,
...next dozen or so IM's/replies were continuing the point of driving
it into the ground of how the dj got upset because someone said he didn't like their music,
that i made the dj feel bad, and hurt their feelings....also added: that is not
what the dj wants to hear on their show that their music is "no good"
....i did say the break sounded "OK" but by this point
it was too late, i already offended the entire staff; because of my freely speaking
of the playlist....
am i the jerk ?
or is this station : ________ .com taking themselves to serioiusly???
