No, WTOP has always been the strong performer. On AM, it got share numbers as good or better. 1500 may not get a great signal into some fringe areas but it reaches areas where most people are. KYW, on the other hand, is worthless in Bucks County.

WTOP before the move to 103.5 got nearly half its ratings from an FM rimshot on 107.7 in Warrenton, VA. 1500 is worthless to the west of DC.
