Is 103.3 The Cove still on the air?

I read a report that WODS either turned off its HD transmitter or that 103.3-HD2 is a religious format. Anyone know if The Cove is still on 103.3-HD2? I liked its soft AC format, it was a pretty rare format, even for an HD2.

I also enjoy listening to Easy 93.1 from Miami. Heard it first during an e skip opening last July and listened online ever since

Easy 93.1 is nice. I received it here on e-skip last summer (I'm in Dartmouth, MA).

Also, a friend of mine told me about Sunny 106 (WJPT, Ft. Myers, FL). It has a unique AC format that goes deeper than most. You may also enjoy it:

WODS HD2 "The Cove" is on the air now, playing "One More Night" by Phil Collins right now.

WODS HD3 is "Mercy Rock", a contemporary Christian music format. Maybe that's what someone thought was a "religious format" and thought that the HD3 was the HD2.

The Cove is great, wish it was on their 103.3

It's great the way it is on HD2, no DJs, no commercials. The music is far superior to WMJX and WPLM.

There's a reason there are no DJs and no commercials: there are no listeners. The HD Alliance allowed HD2 stations to sell commercials since 2007, yet HD2 stations are commercial free. There aren't any DJs on 103.3 The Cove because CBS would have to pay the WODS DJs a little more to voicetrack The Cove. Its a waste of money since the HD2 isn't bringing in any revenue. You would think that a major radio corporation like CBS would have the clout to force advertisers to buy packages that include advertising on the HD2s, but the advertisers won't because according to Arbitron there are zero listeners to WODS-HD2. Most HD2 listening is done via Internet streaming. Most of the people that listen to HD2 stations on an HD radio are posting on this board.

I would love it to be on the HD1, but that probably won't happen. This format would be profitable, but the demographics are older than the mainstream ACs. However, Easy 93.1 is 2nd in Miami, which is a great sign for Soft AC.

It's so rare to find a soft AC station these days. I've heard hundreds of stations across the country while DXing or traveling, and can count on my fingers how many soft ACs I've heard. I'd say it's rarer than dance stations.

They don't have commercials over the air but if CBS is doing what they are doing with WZLX HD2 then they are running commercials on the stream.

The stream is dead air now. Hopefully 103.3 Amp Radio will fill my other taste in music, current dance (or at least dance leaning CHR)

I doubt Easy 93.1 in Miami will be flipping any time soon considering it's #2 and beating a mainstream AC.

The Cove is in deed gone. I am saddened by this. And to think just last week I was explaining how it was still on the air... :-\
