Is 103.3 The Cove still on the air?

The Cove was gone by early morning today. But then again, the WODS HD2 signal is also dead air as I speak right now. Listen on line, you won't hear anything. The computer probably crashed. It was beginning to double-shot the same jingles over and over again. So much for the station's "new home".

Yes saw you mention that on the WODS facebook. A crash or maybe something like what's happened a couple times with the Jockey Pro at WMWM--enter wrong date in and you get a bunch of PSAs in a row and then dead air.

For those who are missing the Cove, CBS radio has another station in LA called "94.7, Southern California's Wave". I think the fans of the Cove will enjoy it.

It's sad to see that no one cares that it's gone. From the perspective of an HD radio owner or Internet radio streamer, CBS took away 103.3 The Cove for Amp Radio. WODS stayed in some form on the HD2.

That probably meant no one listened to 103.3 The Cove besides us. Probably because CBS didn't promote it, and no one has the HD radios. If no one knows it's there, it will have no listeners. The only way I found out about it was because I was a radio geek on a road trip to Boston scanning the dial on an HD radio. And also getting WODS in HD on tropo in New Jersey.

Wow! Who would have believed it? The Cove is back on WODS HD3. :)

What a great station. I sure hope it lasts this time. Comes in great on the North Shore.

I would love that to happen too Lauro, but it's not gonna happen. You know, ratings. Just enjoy it on HD3. I'm just glad that it's back.

nope not gonna happen since there going for the YOUNGER demo now!!

After playing Christmas again for two days The Cove is back. Somebody dropped the ball.

I wish that CBS would put more effort into this station. It's everything a soft AC station aught to be.

It's not going to gain much of an audience if it randomly plays Christmas music for days. The HD3 sounds horrible over the air and has less range than the HD2, for those few people that actually have an HD radio. Such a shame, because I like this format.

It's a great format. I could listen to it for hours at a time. I listen to it through a Gigaware HD radio that I bought in 2009 and have it run through the jacks in my stereo system. It sounds fine to me. I just wish that CBS would put more effort into this station, like have the names of the songs and artists listed on the radio like they do on the computer. Also on i-Tunes radio under AC they still have The Cove listed as WODS HD2. And when you go on it it goes to oldies. I just hope somebody wakes up because this is a great station.

The station is a good, but there are a few things that could make it much better. The mono signal on HD3 is not that great to listen to, in fact the online stream is much better sounding in stereo. Also, the RDS is stuck on "I Got You Bebe/Pretenders. If CBS were smart, move The Cove to one of their main channels where more people can listen to it.

CBS is doing stereo for Freeform BCN on WZLX HD3. There is a compromise when u do stereo instead of mono at 24 Kbps. Think that Cove may be stereo now on WODS HD3. In regards to WBMX at 104.1 FM. Does anyone get any audio from there HD4? My Insigina radio goes from HD3 to HD4 but there is no audio.
