Is 103.3 The Cove still on the air?

CBS is doing stereo for Freeform BCN on WZLX HD3. There is a compromise when u do stereo instead of mono at 24 Kbps. Think that Cove may be stereo now on WODS HD3. In regards to WBMX at 104.1 FM. Does anyone get any audio from there HD4? My Insigina radio goes from HD3 to HD4 but there is no audio.

The WODS and WBMX HD3's are now stereo.

I have occasionally heard audio on WBMX HD4, it's the CBS "Sky Radio" "new age" talk network. I haven't heard any audio on there for the past few weeks, though. I don't know whether they're not broadcasting, or if my radio is failing to decode it. When I had heard it, the reception was usually poor, often all broken up or all chopped up, even in locations where the HD1, HD2, and HD3 from the same signal were fine.

The Cove is too much of a niche format to be able to compete on standard FM. Before long it would become too much like WMJX. So it's fine where it is.

Regarding dumping Oldies or Classic Hits for AMP, I guess the thinking is to go for a younger audience. Too bad Boston radio has become a contest where whoever plays

the song "Girl On Fire" the most wins.
