That would be 8 am on the west coast, never going to happen. Plus the networks want pregame money.NBC game should start at 6pm with Football America on 5pm NBCSN. CBS Games start 11am so if doubleheader the second game end before 6pm if doesn't gets shifted to CBSSN or TBS or Turner or Trutv. Another problem some Preseason Announcers work for CBS and Fox so wouldn't work in Regular Season only if like CBS have Trent Green do all Chiefs Regular season Games on KSMOTV with Carter Blackburn.

Fox cut away the Miami-Chicago bonus coverage on October 14th for highlights of other games...mind you just a few minutes before the Dolphins' game-winning field goal. I think it was around 1:25-1:30 PT. Had to find an AM stream online that didn't block the game. (If you search hard you may be able to find one or two that fail to 'block' the NFL game.) The Seahawks had already played at Wembley and FOX was scheduling some baseball special (I think) and local paid programming in that 1:30-4PM slot. Didn't want to interrupt the baseball special I guess!
It was CBS's doubleheader, so Fox couldn't show the Chicago @ Miami game, even if they wanted to. Now, the league could have delayed the late games on CBS, but maybe it isn't allowed.
Why was CBS showing Cowboys Redskins? I though they held the AFC rights, or are those no longer in existence.

Flex scheduling which started a few years ago (2014). The "old rule" of AFC road team = CBS and NFC road team = FOX isnt the rule anymore. The NFL can "flex" games to different timeslots or different networks to get "the best game possible to the most eyes". In fact both CBS late games were NFC vs NFC (SF/LAR was the other)
I suspect it has more to do with the AFC having fewer top-20 market teams than the NFC. Both conferences have NYC, LA, and the Bay Area (at least through next season, after which the Oakland Raiders move to Lost Wages. The NFC also has Chicago, Philly, DFW, Washington, Atlanta, Detroit, the Twin Cities, Tampa Bay, Seattle, and Phoenix. The AFC also has Boston, Houston, Cleveland, Miami, and Denver (no teams in #18 Orlando or #20 Sacramento -- strictly NBA markets). This was a huge advantage for Fox, and why some NFC games now air on CBS, and a few AFC games air on Fox. It gives CBS a better chance at high ratings in the bigger markets that they used to own prior to 1994.
If you had the late CBS game the game ran long. Got done about 12 after the hourWhy did the CBS schedule last night get delayed 15 minutes?
Then flipped it over for the Saints upsetting the Rams on Fox. Y'know, I was REALLY expecting Curt Menefee to show up with a few minutes to go, since it was 4:30 PT: 'due to NFL regulations we have to pull you off the Rams game and start 'The OT', don't blame me...' Thank goodness I didn't see Curt, unlike all the bonus coverage segments I've seen. Like pulling us off Miami a few weeks ago in OT to air infomercials thanks to CBS's late game.
Well, yes, I knew the game ran long. But until I read this I didn't know both networks could have a late game. I wasn't as aware of such things when I didn't have a CBS show on Sunday night. If you had the late CBS game the game ran long. Got done about 12 after the hour
Fox had the DH but there were areas that got only a late CBS game. These areas in the EST/CST zone got the late game
Minnesota
Chicago
Milwaukee
Atlanta
Tampa
Buffalo
Detroit
Charlotte (they had Houston/Denver as the late game instead of Seattle/LA Chargers)
The Bolded areas HAD to take the late game as their team was at home in the early FOX slot
The Italicized areas took a game as to not go against the home team
Milwaukee? Well they're just drunk![]()

I wonder if there were a lot of angry calls last Sunday night in those forementioned markets about why "60 Minutes" was running late.![]()
Like this week FOX has the singleheader. Markets in the east/central that are carrying the late game of Chargers/Oakland
Boston
NYC
Buffalo
Indy
Nashville
Jacksonville
KC/Columbia, MO
same rules apply
BOLD-team at home on CBS early slot
Italics-team on road....network doesnt want to show game against it
