Kevin is still around. He still posts here from time to time, but he's posting as "kfsr." Kevin is now Production Director at WMCA in the Noo Yawk market.
As far as his ownership/involvment with WFBS, I'm not really sure. It would be much better if Kevin would respond to that concern, if he so chooses.

I believbe Kevin is/was the owner... it was for sale for awhile, but wether it was sold or not.. I dunno.

I'm still here, and the KFSR was established because of the changes made here, I couldnt resume posting unless I established another screen name.
I remain President of WFBS, but left day to day managing of the station last year. I firstly hired a manager who could not manage the station, replaced him with a successive manager who, while not being able to manage the station, was sabbotaged by the former manager. WFBS has been for sale, is for sale, and I am attempting to at least get the station up and onto the air regularly. As some of you may know, I suffered a major heart attack and subsequently underwent quadruple bypass surgery...so I am attempting to do this at a time when my physical and emotional resources are depleted.
Several people have come forward interested in acquiring the station, one of the parties who was undercapitalized to make the purchase, was offered a managing partner situation, where the party purchases a percentage of the stock...the stock purchase proceeds pay down enough of WFBS' debt to get the station back on its feet operating, then that person hops on the bike and peddles real fast. This particular party has no broadcast managerial or sales experience, and couldn't adequately protect their own investment.
I have visited this board almost daily, and have followed everybody blowing smoke under the skirt of one of the other area owner/operators. He didnt tell any lies, but there were several omissions about one of the local owners that may challenge his diety:
1) I was personally resaponsible for the identification of two radio licenses in trouble and was proactive in rescuing those licenses, mine and a future competitor's.
2) The competing radio station was founded utilizing a business model conceived and deployed at WFBS.
3) After helping another area radio station launch, that operator turned on me, took their radio station in head to head format competition with WFBS, determined that the shortest route to profitability as a stand-alone was to raid what billing was on WFBS.
4) This particular operator raided WFBS of sales and on air talent, and in one particular case, disposed of that person once he succeeded in separating them from WFBS.
5) This particular operator went on the streets of Berwick, telling business people that, rather than my being in the hospital having open heart surgery, I was in jail for supposedely physically assaulting my wife, who is an ordained minister. Simultaneously, he attempted to broker a deal with one of WFBS's investors, to acquire the station for pennies on the dollar. This while I was recouperating in New York.
This fellow may be under the impression that he has won your respect, but his money and prowess has only made people fear him...he has purchased and maneuvered his way to what appears to be an enviable position of power, which his out of control ego craves.
You can tell a lot about a person by the way he treats his friends.

Damn, I am sorry to hear about everything. Your health is the most important thing. I'm sure you're on a real funky diet now to help with the bypass, and I hope you are able to stay healthy and happy in your endeavors.
This business can be cruel and cut throat(as you have surely seen) and it sucks that your health is suffering as you deal with all the crap thats being tossed your way. Have you forgotten about the time you asked me to pay your electric bill, not for one month, both for two! I used my personal credit card so you could keep WFBS on the air!
I handed over to you Run for the Diamonds sales files from the old WCNR to give you a running start to carry the broadcast in Berwick. I set up the Jim Doyle to do the broadcast. When you wanted Ron Powlus to do your football broadcast I gave you his number and an introduction thru Jim Doyle.
When you needed an engineer to stabilize your plant…do tell me you remember a guy by the name of Bob Reite. He was under contract for WHLM not to compete. He kept you on the air! I yanked him from you after you wanted to “compete.”
When you needed a sales person I gave you WHLM applications. One person worked for you for two weeks. She called me and said that she was going to quit and work for another local station. I called you to tell you to get your act together. You could not get the job done, so I did.
How many CD’s did you borrow? What about the equipment, reel to reel, turntable, etc. Hell Kevin the list goes on and on.
Do you remember our telephone chat when you told me, that I, was a competitor!!!!!!!!! You need to remember I asked you a very simple question: "give me the name of a competitor that lends money, pays bills, and helps with human resources” you never could answer the question.
Kevin...not to get personal, but why don’t you tell people that I took you into my house when your wife kicked you out of hers!

If you are the guy who owns the Bloomsburg station, I think you need to worry about yourself, and getting your station out of it's indentity crisis. A very wise friend advised me not to post here...that, in so many words, this board had turned into a junior high school slam book, and for the time being I'm going to take his advice...and refrain from stooping to the level of one of the previous posters in this thread. If I were Mr. Fennessy, I would print out this thread and save it. Especially fi they arent true, these claims could be considered defimation of characted and an attempt to impede Kevin;'s business with WFBS.

There is no reason for this thread to be as long as it is. Someone posted a legit question about the whereabouts of Kevin, and what's going on with WFBS. I responded by saying where Kevin is currently working, which Kevin has published himself on this board and on a now-defunct board. Kevin himself then followed with his own comments, without mentioning any names. Then TheBigOne aka Mr. Reilly (whoever this fool is) had to chime in with that unnecessary drivel, airing out Kevin's dirty laundry. Mr. Reilly's attacks were uncalled for. He's the reason why this thread went off-topic and is as long as it is. Plain and simple. End of discussion.

My bringing up Kevin, being thrown out by his wife, was in response to him questioning friendship. As a friend I took him in. If that doesn’t demonstrate friendship then what does? If that is perceived as dirty laundry, then so be it.

But now it’s time to get back to work. First thing I need to do is to fix my station’s identity crisis. Maybe take the station all oldies from the 50’s and 60’s. Then after that doesn’t work I go all 70’s, then when that doesn’t work, I take it all news, them when that does work I’ll take it all sports, then when that doesn’t work I will blame all the people around me for my failure.
