I remember people saying the same thing about CBS just a few years ago when that network was in the basement (ratings-wise).
The problem with TV today in general is that reality programming has taken over because it's cheaper to produce than other programs and does (I don't know why) generate ratings.
This viewer is one example of some one sick of seeing similar shows with different participants.
