Is 'RQQ moving more toward Oldies?

I quit listening to 97.1 when they dropped the oldies format. However, after reading the many posts on 97.1, I started to listen again about a month ago. I like what I am hearing. Also, I get surprised occasionally of hearing something I have not heard in years. I hope 97.1 continues in this direction in 2011. I don't care much for the morning show, I usually listen to 102.9 during that time.

I still like WVCP for my oldies. I am wondering if adding the HD Channel will alter their signal strength. It is hard enough hearing them through the splatter from 88.7 at their present signal strength.

Off topic here...Did the Springfield Pirate show up playing Christmas Music this year?

Happy New Year to everyone on the board.

The Springfield Pirate? Is that the joker playing Christmas music on 91.9 on a loop without ID's these past couple of years? What he doesn't know is WUOT-Knoxville can be heard on 91.9 clear as a bell near/possibly in Nashville with the right equipment (a Grundig G6 with a Radio Shack TV Antenna in the external jack), so he should fined not only for the infraction, but for having only a 12 song playlist!

I always wondered if he had a Christmas Display synced to music and was broadcasting it on FM radio so those driving by could hear the music?
