if the station powers-that-be were smart, they'd get their hands on the myspace-esque community thing going as their main website, making The Sound's interactivity on the net. i mean, if a myspace group called "bored in cincinnati" can thrive, anything can around here.
Just curious. What makes you say that myspace group "bored in cincinnati" is thriving?
it's the most actively posting cincy group on myspace, and has been since i joined two years ago. there have been a few low-key outtings between group regulars, and a few genuine friendships made off the net.
i just think that some day a station will get a clue and ditch the jocks that no one wants to hear, and have a "shuffle" station work in tandem with a myspace-esque community. you can't say that wouldn't work, what with the massive success of youtube, myspace, facebook, and google video (before they bought youtube). instead it seems that station management - not ownership per se - seem only interested in preserving the jock-era, which is fading away quickly.
