In the 70's however, I was also a huge disco fan... and was still getting to know jazz better.
LOL.....I was way into the disco stuff in the late '70's...probably have over 100 12" extended play singles boxed away somewhere (and some of the real obscure cuts had a lot of jazz elements, not the Bee Gees or that overplayed stuff still spun on a lot of AC formats even today)...great times...had dinner just this past summer at The Mews Restaurant in Provincetown MA which is owned by the "father of disco" Ron Robin who was a huge personality in the Boston area in the 60's and 70's on both radio and television...great guy...reminisced about his old all-disco station at the time WBOS, but it eventually changed formats after getting clobbered in the ratings by WXKS Kiss 108.
