If that is in fact the sound they're going for, perhaps they should try a different branding other than K-Rock in NYC. While L.A. residents associate it with their flagship Alternative station, NYC residents remember it as an unfocused mess that couldn't decide whether it was Alternative or a station for frat boys or forklift drivers.
They would be smart to incorporate a bit more harder rock than what you can hear on 104.5 or The Sound, given the absence of it on the NYC FM dial. I just hope they will leave out the Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses and the like - that can already be heard so many places.
