...And if indications are correct according to All Access, look for KMXM to target the Treasure Valley with a Rhythmic format with the new calls KWYD. Stay tuned...

Last hour, all three stations, Magic/KISS and Wild IN THE SAME HOUR played "Whatever You Like" by TI.
For Wild, that song played twice in the last two hours.
I am NOT Impressed!
nwoidaho said:Alright, after some more evaluation, the station needs some work on the processing. The sound has entirely way too much treble. It sounds like there is no tempo manipulation. It reminds me of a station like BOB-FM is put together with the lack of variety of music. I sure hope after the station goes thru this set of 15k songs, they actually have some LIVE jocks on the air. Once again, hopefully, they will have a specialty show on Saturday nights.
I know what's popular and all but that doesn't;t make it good radio. The concept of the music will be implanted with this stunt. It's how the station operates AFTER the stunt is where the real evaluation will begin.
No offence and not to make a racist statement but the Hispanics in Southern Idaho have very little money, especially the 18-34 year old demographic. Hell, everyone 18-34 years old in Boise don't have a dime.
Actually, the promos sound like some of the old promos that used to run on The X when Jacent was running the shop.

"Real Jocks" only spin in clubs to supplement a lousy income from radio groups that don't pay enough money. The Best Club DJ's in Boise? Come on. Get real. No one in Boise's radio community cares if you draw 25 people in the hours after you get off work and earn that extra 60 bucks a night. Ohhh Free Bar Tab!
The focus should be on the stations music, promos, personalities and imaging. As of right now, this station is a jukebox like Movin' WAS in Seattle. I'll be more impressed if there is a REAL LIVE air staff that knows how to interact with the audience properly.
Don't be disappointed when with inside a 2-year period, you're depending on that extra 60 bucks a night you make in the club to pay your bills after the wonderful management at Impact blows you out the door.
Good Luck.
