How do you know?
Doesn't matter. That many people do not listen to Christmas music off the radio in NOVEMBER, before turkey day in any market. Check back after 12/15.

What is the "conventional" time? Nobody agrees on when to start. It's time to revise the Benjamin Franklin line to "death, taxes and people complaining about Christmas music launches".I am definitely NO general manager, but I would certainly argue that flipping to Christmas early in November confers many more benefits compared to waiting until the "conventional" time to flip (either right after Thanksgiving, or on December 1).
Not really, as many stations do programming and marketing of it differently.By flipping early, you secure your spot as a player in the holiday book, and get the maximum return on your investment with all of the holiday advertising.
Again, not really. Christmas music reputations are not built on when a station first plays Mariah Carey or Jose Feliciano each year.If you're late to the party, you're behind the proverbial "eight ball."
This is another example of how it's easy to spend someone else's money. Playing Christmas music looks good for some stations on a radio ratings webpage, but the fact of the matter is not everybody sticks around to hear the Christmas music, nor do all of the Christmas music listeners stay when regular programming returns. Not to mention, it's possible that other market stations could have already completed their flip, making a Christmas format less and less advantageous from a programming standpoint.
The Sound flipped one hour before Warm did. That is not going to make one bit of difference, Christmas music reputations are not built that way and in that short of time. The real questions seems to be: how will 94.1 compare to KPLZ this year? We already know that KRWM seems to come out on top, but will the early flip for "The Sound" give them a significant bump over Star...
Are they really at the bottom or do they still look good in Women 25-54?Hasn't KPLZ tweaked the format already? Their first stint as Santa FM brought more gold/recurrents to the regular playlist. Yet ratings are still at the bottom. I mean, Sinclair has nothing to lose as this is their only music format they own.
Listened to Santa FM- 101.5 yesterday and they said - listen to us after Christmas and listen to the new Northwest Sound and let know what you think!
In a side note I noticed they have no HD signal. I haven’t listed them regularly in a long time- has it been like this for a while?

KBSG 90.1 is // KACS. KACW 91.3 and KBSG 90.1 are just a mile or two away from each other with nearly the same coverage. What a waste of having a second relayer. I notice KACS is now blotting out KRWM 106.9 with a translator in Aberdeen, but it's been around for a while. And besides KRWM is hardly audible out that way.
I did not see any 92.1's nearby on construction permits or whatever. Nearest to Raymond are the KCMS translator in Aberdeen or the CSN translator in Kamilche.
Anyways.....I don't remember KRWM doing a 'Christmas Countdown', but apparently this year they are. This weekend Shellie Hart will host the Top 100 Christmas Songs at noon Sat/Sun. I'm assuming Stop the Calvary and Sippin' in Seattle's Latte Land will NOT be on this countdown, but you never know. I mean, they were KRWM staples back in the day. I've never heard them anywhere else.
