J.D. Ryan

Just listened to it on media monitors...He's now a part of the real deal car show.

The first few minutes they talked about how "CBS let the collar off" and he's allowed to be on-air again.

JCW told me yesterday that JD is banned from the the Eagle show (per KEGL mgmt). Too bad, I really thought he brought a nice balance to our little program. When I asked WHY?, he replied “It’s complicated....just use your imagination.”

While it's not entirely impossible, I just find it hard that any station would tell a paying client who they can and can and can't have in their supporting cast.

they don't even broadcast from the KEGL studios, they come in from JCW's studio at his dealership. His reply to that should have gone something like this, "Well, that's fine, tell me I can't have JD on my show...I'll be taking my show elsewhere and you'll lose the added revenue."

I'm sure there are plenty of stations willing to take his cash and let him have anyone he wants on the show.

Guess we'll know more this Saturday...If JD's back on, then there's no merit to this post.

From what I understand, you don't choose to live in spittleville...it chooses you.

And my last reply - what the hell was wrong with me?  It was supposed to say "can and can't" not that freaky can and can and can't...

of course JD was banned from the Car Show...
the Russiah has claimed him.

Expect to hear JD's punishment
be determined by the Wheel
on the RMS Monday.

I don't understand, If JCW told you Jd was banned from the show why was he asking yesterday where JD was? And if anyone had heard from him? Also, I don't think Kegl management would or even could ban someone from The Real Deal. John pays for that time, as long as he's following FCC regs I'm sure they don't have a problem with it. Anyway why would Russ care if JD was on a paid show? The RMS could get waay more content from JD being on every Saturday than from inside his winnebago. If they wanted it.

Q: How many top 10 major market music FM's have a brokered specialty show? A: None, EXCEPT for JCW sat on KEGL in Dallas. Obviously, everyone in that deal made concessions to make it happen. Be it JCW has to bow to KEGL's demands, or visa versa, but there's something going on there. Actually, JCW was on before RMS came. After seeing RMS start at KEGL right after JCW came over from KRLD, and hearing the tone of JCW's show change...I figured 97.1 had more on their mind than meets the eye. Eagle Eye

Its a tricky situation.

I agree. if you have your own resources (a studio) and *YOU* are paying for the time YOU set the rules! All your getting is the stick!

Unless the Rushiah is funding JCW he can just " sot off" as a friend of mine would say.

JCW can do whatever and have on whoever he wants.

Short of clucking like a chicken for two hours each week I guess. ;D

=BGH

I don't get it, and haven't spoken with John Clay for a few months. I know I was driving to S Tx this weekend, heard JCW on KEGL (no JD) then at 9:00, I was just outside of Waco S bound I-35, went from 97.1, to 98.9FM (KXBT--Actually was going down for a field measurement) and there is JCW starting his national show, but WITH JD? Actually heard JD slip into some old Grand Dragon bits that were very entertaining. JD was not on The Eagle, and he was on 98.9 Austin, this I am certain of.

Did Russ Martin REALLY give JD ryan's cell phone # out on air this morning, that's what I heard? Is that within regs?

Re: J.D. Ryan--cell phone

There is some rule/reg/law regarding privacy. Giving out a man's full name and personal cell phone # on broadcast air just in the sake of harassment must yield some repercussion of sorts? What's to keep Charlie Sheen from giving out Denise Richards number on a 20/20 interview then "For a good time, call my ex wife..Denise...grab a pen here's her cell # 212-555-1234.

I think it would be more of a wonderful way for JD to make some extra cash off 'ol Batman boy and CC. I'm pretty sure he could sue the hell out of them and win. I hope he does. Jerks like Batman boy need to pay for their stupidity, litterly.
