Was listening to Jack FM on Saturday and they said that change is coming at 5:00pm on Sunday.

Looks like all the jack stations are going away.

Wow! Your first post huh? Could it be that you work for CBS???

Lame. They are prolly rolling out the same thing they did in Minneapolis. Commercial free commutes... The Jack Jumpstart and The Happy Ending. ::) Me love you longtime. ;D

I'm not in radio...I look on here for information about radio. And i didnt see anything about what i heard on the radio about jack fm..so thought i would ask.

Just heard it... It says "tomorrow at 5PM JACK FM comes to an end". So, it must mean Monday? Anyway, I am sure it is some stunt that involves the word END. The END of the Bush ear? (OBAMA FM?) ;) Maybe they are moving to the West END? Or maybe they are moving to 107.9 at the END of the dial. Any guesses? Anybody? Bueller??

If it was my call, i would rebrand and reprogram to get into the Rock radio game. If I couldnt get that approved, i would shoot for a PPM friendly country.

I talked to Jay Cresswell the APD for JACK and he told me that this is going to like the JACK FM in Minnesota, where it will be commercial free music on Monday.

We can only hope its a new format alltogether...Prolly wont be, as its CBS and they're without a clue..

Lets see - what pet format everybody wants:

Smooth Jazz
Black Gospel
That country network on rim shots

Have I left anybody's pet format out?

Of course I'd like to see a WAY-FM affiliate here. But I'll have to wait until in-car streaming for that. Until then, I've made the switch to satellite. And I'm hearing stuff I haven't heard in years - good stuff that even Platinum forgot about, classic rock that not even the late KMAD played, and yes they even have smooth jazz and black gospel. I have no idea about the country whether it is what people want or not. Sure its $10 a month, but I've got a lot radio.

Jack FM will go to an all Vietnamese -Korean sports talk station. Bluegrass music at night and northern gospel sundays.

Can i hear an oogga Chakka!!!

Are you hooked on a feeling liberty ;)

Someone didn't load something properly... While ago I was getting int he car and I flipped on JACK to see what was going on and Julie was reading Jacktivities and then the bumper that led into the break said "Coming up more songs from today and back in the day on Movin 107.5". But I was clearly on 100.3...

What a buzz kill!! I have been waiting for the big announcement and now it is spoiled. I hope they will replace the current 100.3 with some entertaining talk radio. We are a little short on that in the evening commute hours.

Jack is not going anywhere!! The have bigger problems than Jack. Jack is a pretty good station to listen, better than anything else right now.
