Jammin' 103.1 Debuts in Austin

The format has really improved as far as fitting into a specific format. It now plays rythmic hits from the 80s and 90s. The newer stuff has been removed as far as I can tell.

Is there any reason why Clear Channel is dragging their feet on putting up a webstream for Jammin'? They finally have a website, but still no stream. Seems unusual. Is there some legal reason or something for not streaming an HD2/translator station? It's not like CC has any problem with radio streaming (they push I Heart Radio non stop and it's becoming a huge platform). So what is the logical reason for not having a webstream up for this station. With the poor terrestrial signal, it would seem a no-brainer to have a stream from day 1. Just totally crazy to me.

No. So long as all copyright holders' royalties are current, the labels and composers are required by federal law to allow anyone unlimited streaming of their material.

I agree. It seems weird that they're not streaming it, especially with that weak signal. The only thing I can think of is that they either need an additional piece of equipment, or the developers at iHeartRadio are too focused on getting those other owners' streams up and running. I'd think the latter is definitely a possibility since the additional groups will probably help with support costs for iHeartRadio and its respective smartphone apps.

and some disco from the 70s.
The playlist overall does seem to be shrinking.

I heard Let's Groove by Earth Wind and Fire 3 times in two days. 2 times today! Around 3 and around 9 PM.
